A delegation from the Ministry of Science and Technology of China, led by Vice Minister Ms. Lin Xin, recently paid a working visit to the Space Science and Geospatial Institute. The visit aimed to strengthen the collaboration between China and Ethiopia in the fields of science and technology, with a particular focus on space science.
Abdisa Yilma, Director General of the Space Science and Geospatial Institute, highlighted the long-standing partnership between Ethiopia and China, emphasizing the significant progress made in science and technology, particularly in space exploration. He also noted Ethiopia’s advancements in economic and social development through the application of science, technology, and innovation.
Ms. Lin Xin, the Chinese Vice Minister, praised the cooperation between the two countries in scientific research and technological innovation. She emphasized the importance of knowledge transfer and strategic planning in their collaborative efforts. The delegation expressed their interest in further enhancing the partnership in the space science and geospatial sectors.
The visit concluded with both parties expressing a commitment to continue working together to advance their shared goals in space science and technology.
