Education, Training, and Capacity Building
- Build internal and external human capacity development in space and geospatial sectors, focusing on technology and technology transfer.
- Strengthen the training and education of postgraduate programs.
- Introduce new demand-driven and tailored curricula in space and geospatial sectors.
Research and Infrastructure Development
- Conduct research in space and geospatial sectors aimed at improving and modernizing economic development.
- Expand infrastructure for space and geospatial sector projects.
Products and Services
- Establish geodetic infrastructure, produce and modernize height data and horizontal and vertical points control stations.
- Process and deliver aerial photos and LiDAR data for customers.
- Produce thematic and topographic maps.
- Process different satellite images, analyze the results, and deliver them.
- Prepare platforms, databases, and applications.
- Set standards for space and geospatial sectors, conduct quality control and assurance activities, and issue certificates according to the prepared standards for experts and organizations in the sector.
- Develop medium to large-scale national land use and land cover maps.
Technology Development
Satellite Project Development
- Design, build, and launch satellites (e.g., ETRSS-1, ET-SMART, ETRSS-2).
- Develop space and geospatial technologies (instruments).
- Build and install multipurpose ground satellite receiving stations, such as:
- A 7.3M ground satellite receiving station built and completed at EORC with SSGI’s own resources and finance.
- A new 12M ground satellite receiving station starting to be built with the support of the government of the Republic of China.
Space Commerce
- Other focus areas: Commercialize space technology services and products to neighboring countries.
