SSGI and FDRE Air force signed an agreement

The institute signed an agreement with the Heavy Maintenance Center of the Air Force of the Federal Republic of Ethiopia

The Space Science and Geospatial Institute (SSGI) and the F.D.R.E Air Force with Heavy Maintenance signed a memorandum of understanding on March 26, 2015. The purpose of this agreement is to collaborate on the development of an unmanned drone for aerial surveying and other initiatives to enhance the sector and build capacity. The signing ceremony was attended by senior leaders and researchers from both institutes. Through the joint efforts of both organizations, significant advancements are expected to be made in the production of unmanned drones for aerial surveying and capacity building. Colonel MESERET GETACHEW, commander of the F.D.R.E. Air Force Heavy Maintenance Center, and Mr. Abdissa Yilma expressed their belief that this joint agreement will provide an excellent opportunity for researchers in both institutions to enhance their capabilities by carrying out projects aimed at developing the sector.
