He said the eDAS platform improves service delivery and administrative efficiency in Adama. The system also speeds up economic and social services. In addition, it supports sustainable urban development. It improves safety and enhances city management.
Abdisa Yilma, Director General of the Ethiopian Space Science and Geospatial Institute, announced a national rollout plan. The institute will deploy the system in 73 Ethiopian cities. Adama City served as the pilot project. He also urged city administrations to prepare for implementation. Strong planning and coordination remain essential, he said. Technical accuracy will determine success in each city rollout.
The Mayor of Adama City, Mr. Haylu Jelde, welcomed the project. He praised its role in improving public services. He also noted that residents will now access services more easily.
